The city of Kansas City, Missouri, has leased 59,642 square feet of the 4400 East Blue Parkway office building – formerly the home of an H&R Block call center – from HRB Deployment & Support, LLC. Cushman & Wakefield represented the city in this transaction.
The city will move its Neighborhoods and Housing Services department from its current location at 4900 Blue Parkway to the building by Nov. 1.
Gib Kerr, director with Cushman & Wakefield, and senior associate Jeffrey Bentz represented the city. Building owner H&R Block was represented by Cushman & Wakefield’s Michael Mayer and Conor Twibell.
Built in 1999, 4400 E. Blue Parkway totals 84,282 square feet with 71 percent office and 29 percent warehouse/flex space. The city signed a 15-year lease.
