On Nov. 9, more than 450 people gathered at the Four Seasons Chicago for the 16th Annual 16th annual Real Estate Gala hosted by the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate at Roosevelt University.

During the event, Patrick FitzGerald, chairman, FitzGerald, was honored with the Lifetime Industry Leadership Award. During his acceptance speech, FitzGerald announced the launch of the FitzGerald Fund for Urban Leadership.

Steven Fifield, Fifield Companies, delivered an insightful and engaging keynote about developments in Chicago.

In thanks for his 15 years of leadership, the Institute surprised Founding Director Jon DeVries with the announcement of the Jon DeVries Fund for Urban Economics.

Each year the gala is one of the premier real estate networking event of the year in Chicago with over 450 industry leaders in attendance. All proceeds benefit the student and industry education programs of the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate in the Heller College of Business at Roosevelt University.

Since its founding in 2002, the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate has grown to become one of the largest and most diverse graduate real estate programs in the country. When it was created, the Institute had 25 people in its initial class. Today it has more than 50 enrolled students and more than 300 graduates, many of whom work at Chicago firms.
