Transwestern hires Eric Myers to oversee Midwest leasing group

Transwestern has tapped Eric Myers to lead the firm’s agency leasing group, according to a statement from Transwestern.

In his new role as the executive vice president of agency leasing, he will oversee all brokerage activities, including transaction management and execution, as well as recruiting, hiring, training and business development.

Myers comes to Transwestern from Avison Young where he served as principal and led agency leasing efforts in Chicago and the Midwest. Myers also worked with Tishman Speyer as senior director of leasing where he was on the CME Center leasing team and negotiated CME’s 400,000-square-foot lease as well as transactions with other prestigious firms such as Dykema Gossett, Wells Fargo and BP.

Myers has more than 25 years of experience in agency leasing and has earned many accolades along the way for his leadership and business development. He is a member of COLBA, a past president of CREO and has been a finalist for the industry’s Landlord Office Broker of the Year award multiple times. He is also on the board of the American Brain Tumor Association and chairman of the organization’s research committee.
