The 2019 Chicagoland Apartment Marketing and Management Excellence (CAMME) Awards celebrated 52 winners at its 26th annual gala Friday evening, October 18, at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile. More than 1,100 industry professionals attend the Chicagoland Apartment Association’s prestigious CAMME awards each year to honor the excellence of Chicagoland’s multifamily housing industry.
“The CAMME Awards provide a special opportunity to honor apartment professionals who go above and beyond to serve residents throughout the apartment community,” said Michael Mini, executive vice president of the CAA. “From property managers, engineers, maintenance team leaders and leasing professionals serving low-rise, mid-rise and high-rise properties, CAMME award recipients represent the very best in our industry.”
The CAA represents more than 5,000 apartment professionals who own and/or manage over 200,000 market rate and affordable rental units in over 1,200 apartment properties in the Chicagoland region. This year, 317 entries were submitted with winners selected based on their ability to meet or exceed a set standard of criteria, including financial and performance goal achievement, overall exterior condition, curb appeal and maintenance of the property, landscaping, condition and design, marketing, community outreach programs and resident satisfaction.
Five properties were recognized with the most prestigious CAMME, the Property Excellence Award, honoring top performance in a number of categories.
Oglesby Towers in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood, managed by TLC Management Company, won in the Property Excellence for Vintage Buildings category; Preserve at Cantera in Warrenville, managed by Marquette Management, Inc., won for Property Excellence for Low-Rise/Garden Apartment Buildings built between 1996-2012; Cityfront Place in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood, managed by Lincoln Property Company, won for Property Excellence for Mid-Rise/Hi-Rise Buildings built between 1968-1995; City View at the Highlands in Lombard, managed by Marquette Management, Inc., won for Property Excellence for Mid-Rise/Hi-Rise Buildings built between 1996-2012 and finally, The Residences at Addison & Clark in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood, managed by RMK Management Corp., won for Property Excellence for Mid-Rise/Hi-Rise Buildings built between 2013-2018.
