James G. Sansone
How is important is James G. Sansone to the St. Louis-based Sansone Group? He plays three major roles for the company. And he does each well.
As a principal with the firm, Sansone oversees the company’s commercial property management portfolio, one that includes more than 20 million square feet of commercial space. Sansone also oversees the company’s human resources division.
Then there is Sansone’s media work. He serves as the media spokesman for the firm. He is, then, the contact for all media outlets and the head of the company’s public-relations division.
As company spokesman, Sansone meets with state and local municipalities to earn zoning approvals for Sansone Group projects. Over the years, he’s amassed an impressive record in earning these approvals. He also promotes Sansone Group when municipalities are debating what developers to choose for their projects.
As an example, Sansone worked closely with St. Louis County in its redevelopment of the former Northland Shopping Center. Thanks in part to his efforts. Sansone Group won a prestigious Outstanding Developer award from North County Incorporated and the Community Partnership Award from the St. Louis Economic Council.
And this is just one example. Throughout his career, Sansone has built strong relationships with every major municipality in the St. Louis metropolitan area. It’s one of the reasons for Sansone Group’s success.
Sansone is also deeply involved in the community. He is a commissioner with the St. Louis Zoo and an executive committee member for the St. Agnes Senior Living Facility Fundraiser. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Urological Research Foundation.
Sansone has served on the Developers Advisory Committee for the Missouri State Highway and Transportation Department and as a board member and chairman of the St. Louis Archdiocesan Catholic Appeal Fundraiser. In addition, he has served on the board of trustees for Frontbonne University and as president of the Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital Development Board.
