Rick Trott has helped close industrial deals worth almost $150 million during the past three years in the Columbus, Ohio, region.

It’s little wonder, then, that this principal and senior vice president with the Columbus office of Cassidy Turley is considered such a key player in the central Ohio commercial real estate market.

Trott has practiced commercial real estate in central Ohio for nearly 20 years. And he’s showing no signs of slowing down. Trott’s current assignments include more than 6.5 million square feet of industrial space and more than 700 acres of industrial land.

How has Trott earned this success? Like most top commercial brokers, he’s not afraid to work hard. He studies his market, and knows as much about the industrial sector in central Ohio as do any of his competitors. When Trott gains clients, he retains them by delivering top customer service. Trott isn’t satisfied until he surpasses the expectations of his clients.

Trott hasn’t been shy about sharing his success, either. He has donated countless hours mentoring real estate professionals who have, in turn, gone on to become industry leaders in Columbus. He also volunteers his time as a mentor to real estate students at The Ohio State University.

Trott has also been active in several real estate organizations, including the Columbus Board of Realtors and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, where he most recently served as president of the Ohio chapter.

Others in the commercial real estate business have been quick to honor Trott for his success and his commitment to the industry. He has been recognized as a CoStar Top 5 Deal Maker from 2005 through 2010 and as a top producer within the Columbus Board of Realtors C/I Division from 2004 through 2008 and in 2011.
