Foresight Energy, one of the country’s largest coal-mining companies, is moving its corporate headquarters to St. Louis.
The company will soon set up its offices in the 16,000-square-foot Metropolitan Square office tower in downtown St. Louis. This is a big deal for the city of St. Louis, and provides more evidence of a commercial real estate market that is starting to show definite signs of life.
Lynn Schenck, David Steinbach and David Biales of the St. Louis office of Jones Lang LaSalle completed the transaction. Jones Lang LaSalle’s Henry Voges represented the building’s ownership in the transaction.
Metropolitan Square is the tallest and largest office building in downtown St. Louis. It offers more than 1 million square feet of office space.
