TJX’s HomeGoods has signed a lease for 25,503 square feet of space at 600 N. Michigan Avenue, according to Richard Spinell and Stan Nitzberg, principals at Oakbrook Terrace-based Mid-America Real Estate Group.
This was the largest, single footprint space available in the Michigan Avenue district,” Mr. Nitzberg said in a release. “It afforded HomeGoods, one of the nation’s dominant home furnishing retailers, to present their strategy in an efficient and spectacularly located manner.”
He said that with HomeGoods positioned on a very accessible and visible third level, contrasted by luxury goods retail at street level, North Michigan Avenue continues to be the magnet for the world’s best merchants, regardless of price point or category.
Mr. Nitzberg and Mr. Spinell, along with Marget Graham and Luke Molloy, brokered the lease on behalf of the landlord, while Steve Baer and Gary Greenfield of Metro Commercial represented the tenant.
