Senior Housing Conference slated for Dec. 1

The aging of the baby boomers continues to be a focal point of the nation’s economy and the commercial real estate industry.

That focus comes center stage on December 1, 2010 when Illinois Real Estate Journal hosts it Senior Housing Conference at the University Club of Chicago.  The Conference will include a keynote presentation and two general session panels focusing on overall market conditions, financing opportunities and development trends, in Chicago and across the country. Interspersed in the discussions will be focused presentations on specific products and product types being developed and constructed.

Charles Harry, director of research at the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing and Care Industry, will kick-off the conference with a keynote address. The first panel presents a state of the market overview from the perspective of some of the most respected and active players in Senior Housing in Chicago. The panel will be moderated by Jim Keledjian of Pathways Senior Living and include:  Jacob Gehl, Marcus & Millichap; Jerrold Frumm, Senior Lifestyles; Brad Haber, GE Capital; and Brian Landrum, Walton Street Capital.

A second panel looks more closely at financing issues and investment trends.  Ginger Petroff of Wells Fargo will lead the panel as moderator and will be accompanied by Jeffrey Davis of Cambridge Realty Capital, Doug Bath of Walker & Dunlop, Michael Gordon of Harrison Street Capital, and James Sherman of Red Mortgage Capital.
