Teamsters Union Local No. 24, the Akron Teamsters union with members in Summit, Medina, Stark and Portage Counties, Ohio, recently sold its facility in Akron, Ohio, to an Atlanta investor.  The facility sold for $565,000.

“Both the seller and the buyer were very professional and an absolute pleasure to work with,” said Jennifer Fernandez of NAI Cummins, the listing broker for the property.  “This property will allow the developer’s client, a plasma services firm, to expand their services and offer more support to the region’s healthcare industry.”

The Teamsters building will undergo extensive expansion, nearly doubling the current 11,150-square-foot footprint with 8,000 feet of additional space.  Construction on the facility will start in September, and the developer expects to have construction completed by the end of the year.
