Sperry Van Ness, located in downtown Chicago, recently expanded its client offerings to include auction services through its division of the Sperry Van Ness Accelerated Marketing Team (SVN AM). Louis Fisher III, chief executive officer of SVN AM was in Chicago the first week in August to announce the expansion and meet with the company’s first round of prospective clients.
The SVN auction team is fully integrated with Sperry Van Ness International and the 960-member advisors. Collectively, the team boasts more than 100 years of experience in planning, orchestrating and conducting successful auctions and sealed bid sales throughout North America, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Fisher is no stranger to real estate auctions, and is a third-generation award-winning auctioneer. He played a critical role in the development of Fisher Auction Co., Inc. based in Pompano Beach, Fla. His auction experience spans three decades. In fact, Fisher was one of nine licensed national contractors approved to execute with the RTC and the FDIC during the financial S & L crisis of the early 1990s. Of those nine firms, only three remain.
Wayne Caplan, a director and principal with SVN’s Chicago office and formerly of Sheldon Good and Company will be spearheading SVN’s auction efforts in the Midwest. SVN AM is not a newly created venture.
