Minneapolis-based JMW Development, LLC this summer announced that CorTrust Bank has signed to join the 40-acre Commerce Hill development in Woodbury, Minn.  Located on Woodbury Drive between Commerce Drive and Tamarack Road, Commerce Hill will be anchored by a 177,000-square-foot SuperTarget.

Kraus-Anderson has begun the site construction work, including grading, paving and utilities.

Paul Maenner, principal of JMW Development, LLC said he is actively talking to a number of businesses showing strong interest in the development, and anticipates additional announcements in the coming weeks and months.  Commerce Hill will include a mix of retail, restaurants and offices.  SuperTarget will also feature a Target Pharmacy, Target Optical, Starbucks, Pizza Hut Express and Taco Bell Express.

Established in 1930, CorTrust Bank is an independent community bank headquartered in Mitchell, S.D., and currently serves 16 South Dakota communities.  The Commerce Hill site will be CorTrust Bank’s flagship Woodbury location.  In 2009, CorTrust Bank purchased Woodbury’s Brickwell Community Bank and will relocate from its Hudson Road location to Commerce Hill.

“We are proud to be a member of the Woodbury community, and are thrilled to join the Commerce Hill development,” said Jay Gikas, CorTrust Bank’s senior vice president and Twin Cities market manager.  CorTrust Bank is a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation with more than $617 million in assets.
