Inland Real Estate Brokerage, Inc. today announced the sale of 733 Lee Street, an 18,856-square-foot office building in Des Plaines, Ill. for $625,000. The landmark property, located at the corner of Lee St. and Prairie, was built in 1957 for the First National Bank of Des Plaines.
Richard Kehoe, senior vice president, and Robert Wall, senior broker with Inland Real Estate Brokerage, represented both the purchaser, the Greek American Restaurant Association, and the seller, a real estate trust.
“This is a historic building with a wealth of amenities, none more attractive to the buyer than its great location,” Kehoe said. “Located in the center of the business district and a short walk from the Metra commuter rail station, it will serve as the new headquarters of The Greek American Restaurant Association, which is moving to this site from their present location on Higgins Road in Des Plaines.”
Barry Collins and William Vedral of the law firm Tuttle, Verdal & Collins represented the seller and Spiro G. Zarkos of Kaplan, Papadakis & Gournis represented the purchaser.
