Paine/Wetzel • ONCOR International has announced a 2.4-acre land sale for SRA Scrap Metals at 3405 S. Lawndale in Chicago. Value of the transaction was $900,000.
SRA Scrap Metals has purchased the 2.4-acre property as well as the Gonzales Auto Parts business. The scrap metal processing company purchased the auto salvage yard as well as a 3,500 square foot office and 4,000 square foot shed building. This will be an additional location for SRA with plans to combine their operations with the auto salvage business.
“SRA Scrap Metals purchased this location because of the heavy zoning designation needed for a scrap company and the close proximity to the I-55 Expressway,” said Mark Nelson, associate with Paine/Wetzel • ONCOR International.
Michael Nelson, vice president, and Mark Nelson of Paine/Wetzel • ONCOR International represented the buyer in the transaction and the seller, Gonzales Auto Parts, was not represented.
