Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services recently brokered the sale of Sports Authority Plaza, a 63,552-square-foot shopping center located in Calumet City, Ill.

Bruce Harris, vice president of investments and senior director in the firm’s National Retail Group, exclusively marketed and brokered the transaction. The buyer is a private investor out of the New York City area and completed a 1031 Exchange with the purchase of the property. The transaction involved an assumable loan at a favorable rate with non-recourse debt in place.

The property is situated on Torrence Avenue, among numerous big box retailers, and is anchored by Sports Authority, which has been a tenant at the location for more than 30 years.
