Marcus & Millichap negotiates sale of mixed-use property

Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services has announced the sale of 1625 North Damen Avenue, a trophy mixed-use property in Bucktown, according to John M. Przybyla, first vice president/regional manager of the firm’s Chicago Downtown office.

The property, also known as “The Old Damen Avenue Fire House”, achieved a sales price of $3,125,000.  The retail tenants include Potbelly’s and the well-known, high-end women’s retailer, Nanette Lepore, along with office on the second floor.

Kyle Stengle, senior associate, and Stephen Rachman, vice president of investments, of Marcus & Millichap’s Chicago Downtown office had the exclusive listing.   Michael Marks and Evan Halkias, both vice president of investments, represented the buyer.   Both the buyer and seller were local private investors.

In 2004, this property went under renovation helping to kick-off the renaissance of Bucktown retailing.
