St. Louis’ S.M. Wilson & Co. hires industry vet to lead government construction efforts

St. Louis-based S. M. Wilson & Co. has hired Tom Kaiman to lead its new business group focused on managing and expanding the company’s federal government and military construction business. 

Kaiman joins S. M. Wilson as a project executive.  He previously served as vice president of operations for Walton Construction Company in St. Louis.

S. M. Wilson has been handling a growing number of construction projects for the federal government in recent years.  The firm currently has more than $44 million of federal work underway, including a new digital training facility at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., a laboratory renovation at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Columbia, Mo., and a new design-build dining facility for the Corps of Engineers at Camp Atterbury, Ind.
