Minneapolis’ West Professional Services expands board

Westwood Professional Services, Inc., with offices in Minneapolis and Overland Park, Kan., in May elected new board members Jason McCarty and Dan Parks. Re-elected to the board are president Paul Greenhagen, vice president Dale Beckmann and vice president Scott Gyllen. Board members serve a one-year term and are nominated and elected by Westwood shareholders.
McCarty is the director of Westwood’s land sector, in which he oversees and supports business efforts in both the commercial and residential markets. He served on Westwood’s board from 2007 to 2009.
McCarty is a professional civil engineer and joined Westwood in 1998. His work includes numerous land development projects in the metro area such as Stonemill Farms in Woodbury, Minn., and Victor Gardens in Hugo,Minn. McCarty served as president of the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers from 2008 to 2009, and remains an active member.
As director of Westwood’s commercial group, Parks manages the development of retail, office, industrial park, medical and institutional projects. Parks joined Westwood in 2002. He is a professional civil engineer, and has managed multiple award-winning local projects including the Shops of Plymouth Creek in Plymouth, Minn., and Windsor Plaza in Eden Prairie, Minn.
As an active participant in the commercial real estate community, Parks has served in committee roles with the Minnesota Shopping Center Association and the National Association of Industrial Office Parks.
