Neutral Tandem, Inc., a Chicago based telecommunications provider, will consolidate two existing Chicago offices into a new 27,555-square-foot corporate headquarters space at 550 W. Adams St.

Alexander Smith and Jordan Rovito of Cushman & Wakefield represented Neutral Tandem in the transaction, an 11-year sublease from USG Corporation, the building’s main tenant. Neutral Tandem will occupy the entire ninth floor of 550 W. Adams, an 18-story Class-A building constructed in 2006 for USG and owned by SEB Immobilien Investment GMBH.

Neutral Tandem currently leases roughly 20,000 square feet at two Chicago locations: One South Wacker (15,423 square feet) and 30 S. Wacker (4,910 square feet).

“This new space allows Neutral Tandem to consolidate all of their Chicago operations under one roof,” said Smith, a Cushman & Wakefield senior director. “The new space offers a flexible, efficient and open floor plate, with new furniture included in the rent.”

USG was represented in the deal by David Stefancic of UGL Equis.
